Application Control Policy
Policy Rule Description Default Value
Disallow Third Party
Application Download
Determines if the BlackBerry can download 3rd party
applications. This does not affect already installed appli-
cations. Cannot be used to block specific applications
from being downloaded; it's all or nothing.

Allow External Connections Determines if applications can initiate external connec-
tions such as SMS or sockets.

Allow Internal Connections Determines if applications can initiate internal connec-
tions, using MDS for example.

Use Serial Port
Determines if 3rd party applications can use the serial or
USB ports on the BlackBerry device.

an external Mass Storage Device when connected to a
